Senior delegation from Abyan arrives in Sanaa

SANAA, April 24 (YPA) – A senior tribal delegation province arrived on Monday, south of Yemen, paid a visit to the capital Sanaa.

Activists on social media published a picture of the number of notables and sheikhs of Abyan, accompanied with sheikhs of Bayda province, headed to the capital Sanaa, to meet with senior leaders in the National Salvation Government.

This is the first visit of a delegation from the tribes of Abyan, which is under the control of the coalition forces, to visit the capital, Sanaa, since the start of the war on Yemen.

The sources pointed out that the goal of the tribal delegation’s visit was to release, Major General Faisal Rajab, after the coalition-backed government ignored him in the previous exchange deal that carried out during the month of Ramadan.

In the context, the southern journalist Fathi bin Lazraq, an editor-in-chief of “Aden Al-Ghad” newspaper, said on Twitter that a tribal delegation from Abyan will arrive this evening in the capital, Sanaa, in an effort to release Major General Faisal Rajab.
