WORLD, April 16 (YPA) – Japan’s Self-Defense Forces said they have found the bodies of five people on board a Japanese military helicopter that crashed into the sea last week south of Okinawa Prefecture.
Kyodo quoted the defense forces as saying in a statement: “Five bodies were found during a deep-sea diving operation in search of a Japan Self-Defense Force helicopter, which went missing shortly after taking off from a military base on Miyako Island last week off the southern prefecture of Okinawa.
The statement added that a large part of the wreckage of the helicopter carrying ten people, a UH-60GA, was also found.
