Sanaa receives 350 released prisoners on 2nd day of prisoner exchange process
SANAA, April 15 (YPA) – The capital, Sanaa, received, in an official and popular ceremony at Sanaa International Airport, today, Saturday, 350 of its freed war prisoners, most of whom were in Saudi prisons.
Carrying 350 prisoners of the Sanaa forces, including 250 prisoners who were in Saudi prisons, five planes arrived successively from Saudi Arabia and the occupied Mocha city of Taiz province, western Yemen.
On the other hand, Sanaa authorities released prisoners, including Saudis and Sudanese mercenaries, on the second day of the prisoner exchange process, which included 706 war prisoners from the two parties.
An official and public reception was held at Sanaa Airport for the liberated prisoners, in the presence of members of the Supreme Political Council, the Cabinet, senior state officials, and military and political leaders.
On Friday, the first day of the prisoner exchange process, 250 prisoners from the Yemeni army and the popular committees (Sanaa forces) arrived at Sanaa airport as part of the exchange deal.
