Southern leader reveals deal with Emirati company to hand over telecommunications sector

ABYAN, April 08 (YPA) – The former leader of the “Southern Resistance,” Adel al-Hassani, confirmed on Saturday that a deal would be made by the coalition-backed government to hand over the telecommunications sector in the southern provinces by to an Emirati company.

A political activist Al-Hassani, who opposes the Saudi-led coalition in southern Yemen, said, said that the sale of sovereign assets belonging to the telecommunications sector, Aden Net- TeleYemen- the international portal for Yemeni communications, in favor of the UAE company NX, is very imminent.

He added on “Twitter” that the Minister of Communications in the government affiliated to the coalition, Najib Al-Awaj, is currently in the UAE to sign the deal.

Al-Hassani calling on everyone to prevent this farce, in selling the assets of the homeland and the property of the Yemeni people.

Last week, the businessman and deputy director of the office of the resigned president “Hadi,” Ahmed Saleh Al-Eisi, revealed via “Al-Mahria TV” that the head of the pro-coalition government, Maeen Abdel-Malik, handed over the communications sector in the southern provinces to an Emirati company in exchange for 30%, and the sale of oil fields to foreign companies instead of the state-run PetroMasila in exchange for one million dollars a month.
