Dhalea residents threaten to escalate their protests against pro-coalition government

DHALEA, July 17 (YPA) – A large demonstration took place in the southern Yemeni province of Dhalea on Thursday, denouncing rising prices, the collapse of the currency, and the deterioration of public services.

Protesters gathered on the main street in the city of Dhalea, expressing their demands with slogans and chants against the unprecedented collapse of the Yemeni riyal. They criticized the government and the Presidential Leadership Council loyal to the Saudi-led coalition, accusing them of failing to find solutions to the crisis.

The demonstrators threatened to escalate their protests if living conditions continue to deteriorate.

Several provinces under the control of the pro-coalition government are witnessing widespread protests due to deteriorating living conditions.
