LAHJ, March 14 (YPA) – Two citizens were killed on Tuesday in a shooting in Lahj province, south of Yemen, according to local sources said.
The sources in the province stated that gunmen opened fire on a car carrying citizens in Al-Atira area of Tur Al-Baha district, looted the citizens’ property, and fled to an unknown destination.
This came after the killing of the trader Ahmed Al-Adaini inside his shop in Aden by armed elements, led by Amin Al-Dhera, a leader of the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Coucnil (STC) militia, after appeals made by the citizen as a result of his extortion without justice from anyone.
The crime of citizens in Tur Al-Baha and Aden added to the series of crimes behind which the regional incitements against the people of the northern provinces by the Saudi-led coalition over the past years.
A number of travelers belonging to the northern provinces were killed in the STC-held areas, including the Yemeni expatriate, Abdulmalik Al-Sanabani, who returned from America in September 2021.
