4 people killed due to avalanche in southwestern Iran

SANAA, March 14 (YPA) – Four people were killed and five others were missing on Tuesday after an avalanche in the city of Kuhrenk in Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari province in southwestern Iran.

Local media quoted the chief executive of the Red Crescent Society in the province, Masoud Mathnawi, in a statement, “9 people were trapped by an avalanche in the city of Kuhrenk in Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari province”.

“Four of them were killed, while the search for the other five is continuing”, he added.
