Zionist settler killed, four injured in shooting attack near near Jericho

OCCUPIED PALESTINE, Feb. 28 (YPA) – A Zionist settler was killed and four others were wounded, on Monday evening in two shooting attacks carried out by a Palestinian man in the Jordan Valley area near the city of Jericho in the eastern occupied West Bank.

According to the Zionist enemy media, a settler was killed during shooting  opreatioj while he was driving his vehicle, while four others were wounded about ten minutes after the first attack, which took place near the place specifically on Route 90 in the Jordan Valley, north of the Dead Sea.

The  injured were taken to the hospital.

The Zionist enemy forces came to the scene of the two operations, and imposed a security cordon after they closed a number of roads and entrances to Jericho. They launched combing operations by using helicopters and drones, to search for the attacker who managed to withdraw.

According to the Zionist media, the assailant left his car and set it on fire before withdrawing.

For their part, local sources reported that Zionist settlers attacked citizens’ vehicles and homes near Aqbat Jaber refugee camp, southwest of Jericho.

On Sunday, settlers were killed in a shooting attack carried out by a Palestinian youth inside the town of Huwara in Nablus, before the perpetrator withdrew safely.
