TEHRAN, Feb. 26 (YPA) – Iran’s Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian revealed on Sunday his country’s willingness to hold a new round of talks with Saudi Arabia to restore relations between the two countries to normal.
During his participation in the “Special Interview” program with Al-Alam TV, which will be broadcast this evening, Sunday, Abdullahian stressed that the return of relations would be beneficial for both countries and the region alike.
Abdullahian continued, saying: “The Islamic Republic of Iran was and still welcomes talks, cooperation, and interaction with Saudi Arabia.”
He pointed out that the two sides have made progress during the previous five rounds of talks with Iraqi mediation, noting that they are currently in the process of arranging to hold a new round of talks.
