MARIB, Feb. 26 (YPA) – The Saudi-led coalition forces have suffered heavy casualties in battles taking place in several sites in Marib province for the second straight day.
Local sources in the province said that large military forces from the coalition recruits carried out on Saturdays a large attack, from Arak Mountain range and other sites in Osaylan area of Shabwa, towards the positions of Sanaa forces in “Al-Bawara” area of Harib front, but Sanaa forces foiled the attack in a counter-operation.
After fierce battles between the two sides, the Sanaa forces were able to impose their control over new military sites in the mountain range of Arak, and they also advanced towards the sites of al-Amaliqa Brigades” militia on the outskirts of Ayen district of Shabwa, hours after their success in confronting the coalition forces’ violations of the calm situation between the two parties within the post-armistice vacuum.
A large number of recruits of coalition were killed or injured, including officers, identified as Ali Ahmed Qashash, Abd Rabbo Ahmed Muhim, Fahd Ali Qashash, and Abdullah Nazih, in the failed advance on Sanaa forces.
