Pro-UAE factions prevent Saudi program’s representatives from entering Aden

ADEN, Feb. 16 (YPA) – The pro-UAE factions prevented on Thursday representatives of the Saudi program from entering the port of Aden city, south of Yemen, according to local sources.

The sources said that the guard of the oil port in Aden refused to allow representatives of the “Saudi reconstruction program” to enter the port, asking the Saudi employees to bring a permit from the relevant authorities in the city.

This came nearly two days after the statements of the first official of the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC), Fadl Al-Jaadi, confirming that the STC would not remain silent indefinitely regarding Saudi actions aimed at limiting the influence of the factions loyal to the Emirates in southern and eastern Yemen.

The sources considered that preventing Saudi representatives from entering the port of oil in Aden an expression of the boiling state of the UAE-loyal factions, against the background of Saudi Arabia’s hostile attitudes towards the STC militias.

The authorities of the STC, represented by the governor, Ahmed Lamlas, hastened to apologize to the leadership of the Saudi forces present in Aden, stressing that they would take appropriate measures against those responsible for preventing the Saudi employees from entering the port.

The city of Aden, which is under the control of the Saudi-led coalition, is witnessing more tension between Saudi Arabia and its loyal factions, and the UAE and its affiliated components.
