Man killed by Islah militants in Taiz

TAIZ, Jan. 22 (YPA) – A citizen was killed by Islah militants in the center of Taiz, southern Yemen.

Human rights sources in the city reported that clashes broke out between the Islah militants, on Saturday near Taiz University. One of the stray bullets hit and killed Kamal Mohammed Rawah.

The sources confirmed that Rawah was killed while he was in front of his house without being a party to the confrontations between the gunmen.

Last week, a woman, Fatiha Salem, was assaulted with rifle butts by Islah militants in the middle of the street in the Sina neighborhood of Al-Nasiriyah area, which led to her head injury.

The city of Taiz, which is under the control of the Islah militants, loyal to the coalition, has been witnessing a security chaos that disturbed the lives of citizens, in addition to the spread of gangs to loot, plunder, and impose the levies on merchants and truck’s drivers by force of arms.
