OCHA humanitarian interventions in Hodeida discussed

HODEIDA, Jan. 07 (YPA) – Director of the branch of the Supreme Council for Management and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs in Hodeida province, Jaber Al-Razhi, on Saturday discussed with Director of the Yemen Humanitarian Fund of “OCHA”, Randa Merghani, the Fund’s interventions in the province.

The fund’s activities and programs in the province and the requirements for facing the repercussions of the humanitarian situation, and the necessary needs to alleviate the suffering of citizens and the displaced as a result of the war and the siege were reviewed in the meeting.

Al-Razhi appreciated the efforts of OCHA in implementing about 40% of the first quarter plan of relief and humanitarian interventions in the province, stressing the importance of expanding its activities and interventions to meet the emergency needs of the displaced and those affected by the war.

In her turn, Merghani appreciated the role of the Supreme Council for Humanitarian Affairs in facilitating the implementation of humanitarian interventions and projects, pointing out that she will work to strengthen coordination to finance projects during the coming period with a more effective impact on the humanitarian side.
