New York, Dec. 26 (YPA) – Activists published a picture of a Yemeni artifact that was smuggled and sold at auction in New York.
The activists who published a picture of that piece said it dates back to the first century BC.
They described the artifact sold as a rectangular in shape, carved in high relief with a standing woman wearing a long A-line tunic with a fringed collar, her hands clasped at her waist wearing two bracelets on each wrist, her heart-shaped face, large bulging almond-shaped eyes, it has the deeply pierced pupils, the eyebrows furrowed slender, and arched brow merging with the bridge of a long, and triangular nose, with a small mouth and rounded chin, as well as the middle hair probably finished in plaster, pierced to mount over each shoulder at a height of 41 cm.
Activists confirmed that this piece of artifact was sold for $ 4,500.
