SANAA, Dec. 13 (YPA) – A court in the capital Sanaa began on Tuesday the trial of the defendants in the case of the death of ten children with leukemia and the infection of 11 others, including two children, in the Oncology Center in Seiyun city of Hadramout province.
In a first session, chaired by Judge Osama Al-Junaid, the convicts were confronted with the indictment and the list of evidence in the case.
The decision included that the defendants caused the death of the children as a result of their violation of the laws and regulations and smuggling a group of unauthorized and unregistered medicines, which were not subject to a sterility examination by the competent authorities, including the drug Methotrexate, which caused death and infection.
