“Balhaf oil port” is largest secret detention center for “UAE” in Yemen: Local official says

SANAA, June 28 (YPA) – A local official in Shabwa province revealed to Yemen Press Agency (YPA) that the United Arab Of Emirates (UAE) occupation forces turned the most important Yemeni oil ports into a large prison and detention center in the province of Shabwa .

According to the member of f the local council in the district of Maifa’a , “Turki Bashibah,” said that that the UAE occupation forces, which runs Balhaf oil port ,adding that they truned the port into the largest secret detention center that included hundreds of young activists and opponents of its presence in the southern provinces .

He indicated that the security situation is worsening, and tension between UAE-backed militias and the military commanders loyal to the outgoing Hadi is about to break out in deadly clashes.

The secret detention center runs by two UAE occupation officers, called “Abu Zaid and Abu Omar”, who contributed very heavily to the torture of detainees, and destroyed the port’s infrastructures systematically, he added

The two officers looted over 200 vehicles in addition to the heavy equipment from the company’s property, Bashibah said.
