ISLAH Party leaders accuse al-Maqdashi of killing al-Thibani

SANAA, June 28 (YPA) – Sources in ISLAH Party militias accused General Mohammad al-Maqdashi of causing the death of Major General Nasser Al-Thibani, who was killed on Monday in an ambush, set by the Yemeni army engineering unit in Nihem district.

Major General Nasser Al-Thibani was not enthusiastic about the risks in making any ground progress in Nihem front without air cover of the coalition air forces.

Sources revealed that there was a sharp argument between al-Maqdashi and al-Thibani about the need to advance in Nihem front according to the orders of General al-Maqdashi, but al-Thibani military commander stressed on the need of air cover in anticipation of being killed without making any significant progress as he thought.

Al-Thibani faced strong pressures from ISLAH Party leaders to obey al-Maqdashi’s orders.

It has been three days to be killed, and his body was put in the refrigerator of Marib General Hospital, proving his point of not to underestimate a battle that was not easy  for the Arab alliance in Nihem front.
