3 tons of expired medicines in Amran destroyed

AMRAN, Nov. 13 (YPA) – The Public Health and Population Office in Amran province, in cooperation with the Police province, on Sunday destroyed three tons of smuggled and expired medicines.

Deputy Director of the Health Office in the province, Dr. Yahya Al-Haiti, explained that the destroyed quantity included expired and smuggled medicines that were withdrawn and confiscated from pharmacies and drug stores in the province by the health office’s inspection committee.

The quantity, which was destroyed after completing all the legal procedures, included 926 types of expired and smuggled medicines.
