SANAA, Oct. 25 (YPA) – The contracts of six agricultural and fisheries projects were signed on Tuesday in the capital Sanaa at estimated total coast of over 300 million Yemeni Riyal by local funding.
The contracts were signed by the Secretary-General of the Local Council in the capital Sanaa, Amin Joma’an, and Director of the Agricultural and Fisheries Projects and Initiatives Financing Unit at the capital, Eng. Abdulmalik Al-Ansi.
These projects included the implementation of “rainwater harvesting basins and a feeding channel in the Faculties of Engineering and Agriculture, expanding the absorptive capacity and improving the teaching aids in the Faculties of Veterinary Medicine and Agriculture through the establishment of an amphitheater and four classrooms in both faculties.
The projects also included supporting the activities of the plant sector in the Agricultural Veterinary Institute in Al-Hasaba area, the restoration of the veterinary hospital building and the deepening of the artesian well, in addition to rehabilitating and activating the sections of the central slaughterhouse in Dar Salim area, restoring and rehabilitating Nuqom slaughterhouse, rehabilitating three nurseries in Dar Salim, Al-Thawra Garden nursery, and cleaning and deepening the water caravan in Al-Sabeen district.
