HODEIDA, Oct. 25 (YPA) – At least 17 Yemeni fishermen arrived on Monday at the landing center in Al-Lahya district of Hodeida province, after being kidnapped by the Saudi coalition forces in the Red Sea.
Director of General Authority for Fisheries in the Red Sea, Aziz Al-Atini, said the authority received the fishermen and take care of them, and to provide all services and facilities with payment of transportation fees for their safe return to their families.
Meanwhile, the kidnapped fishermen affirmed they were surprised by a military boat carrying Saudi soldiers who kidnapped them from the island of Baklan and Fisht, confiscating their boats with generators, getting rid of all their property, including nets, equipment and fish, and throwing them by force into the sea.
They explained that the kidnappers dealt with them in brutal and inhumane methods, and dropped them on the uninhabited island of Sana without water or food, after holding them for more than three days.
