WORLD, Oct. 18 (YPA) – Japan’s government announced on Tuesday that it had imposed sanctions by freezing assets of five groups involved in North Korea’s development of missiles
Commenting on the measures, Chief Cabinet Secretary Hirokazu Matsuno, said in a press statement that “North Korea’s repeated provocative actions which threaten which threaten Japan’s security and international peace and safety are unacceptable.”
North Korea has significantly intensified its missile launches last month, he said, noting that one of the missiles fired by Pyongyang flew over Japan’s territory.
He affirmed that Japan will continue to work closely with the United States and South Korea.
