SANAA, Oct. 02 (YPA) – An official, loyal to the Saudi-led coalition, survived on Sunday an assassination attempt in Dhalea province, south of Yemen.
Local sources affirmed that the so-called advisor to the director of the Qataba area, which is controlled by the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC)’s militia, Abdel Raqeb Al-Fattah, survived an assassination attempt with an explosive device planted by unknown persons in his car. No victims were reported as a result of the explosion.
The sources pointed out that the explosive device exploded in Al-Fattah’s car while it was in front of the Rapid Hotel in the city center, causing damage to the car and nearby shops.
In early October 2018, gunmen targeted Al-Fattah’s car with an explosive device while he was inside his house.
