UN envoy leaves Sanaa with strict response

SANAA, Sept. 29 (YPA) – UN envoy to Yemen, Hans Grundberg, left on Thursday the Yemeni capital, Sanaa, after an official visit, during which he met the President of the Political Council, Mahdi Al-Mashat, and a number of officials.

Grundberg carried a stern response by Sanaa to his proposals on extending the armistice.

Sources said that Al-Mashat informed Grundberg with Sanaas’ rejection of any delay in the payment of salaries, demanded a specific time frame for disbursing them to approve the extension of the truce.
