SHABWA, Aug. 18 (YPA) – UAE warplanes launched raids on forces loyal to the Islah party following their advance in Shabwa province, southwestern Yemen.
According to a local source, four Emirati drone strikes hit gatherings of military and security special forces stationed between the areas of “al-Talaa and al-Mezan” in the Jardan district, northern of the province.
The source confirmed that the strikes left deaths and injuries in the ranks of Islah militants.
The Emirati raids come after pro-Islah forces recaptured positions during an attack on the So-called (Shabwa defense forces and Al-Amaliqa Brigades) between Na’dha and al-Mezan, following the arrival of reinforcements of three brigades in support of Islah from Seiyun and Marib.
