Security director escapes assassination attempt in Abyan

ABYAN, Jul. 25 (YPA) – The director of Abyan province security escaped on Monday an assassination attempt in Abyan province, local sources told Yemen Press Agency.

The sources mentioned that unknown gunmen believed to be from UAE-backed Southern Transitional carried out an armed ambush for the director Ali Al-Kazimy in Lahmar area of Maudiya district, without revealing his health condition.

The sources pointed out that three guards of Al-Kazimy were injured seriously and they were transferred to one of the hospitals.
