SANAA, June. 29 (YPA) – A round of indirect Iranian-American negotiations with European mediation ended on Wednesday in the Qatari capital Doha without achieving any results.
The Iranian “Tasnim” news agency reported the end of the meeting, which was held between the chief Iranian negotiator, “Ali Bagheri”, and the deputy foreign policy official of the European Union, “Enrique Mora”, in Qatar, on 28 and 29 June.
last Monday, a media adviser to the Iranian nuclear team announced that Qatar would host indirect talks between Iran and the United States on reviving the 2015 Tehran nuclear agreement with world powers.
A source familiar with the negotiations told “Tasnim” news agency that Iran once again reaffirmed the need to obtain a sustainable agreement in the meeting.
“Not reaching results in this round of negotiations was the insistence of the American side on the text of its proposal in Vienna 7, which does not guarantee Iran’s economic benefit,” and “Washington is seeking to revive the nuclear agreement in order to restrict Iran without achieving economic gains,” he added.
