TAIZ, June. 20 (YPA) – Dozens took on Monday to the streets of the city of Taiz, demanding the provision of basic services, especially water and government electricity services in the city.
In a protest rally, the participants emphasized that they came out to demand the provision of public electricity and the necessity of operating Osayfara power station and returning it to service, explaining that Taiz has been living for 8 years of darkness.
The protesters pointed out that corruption of the government and its mishandling of the basic services in the city.
Taiz has been living in a tragic situation for the past 8 years due to the lack of basic services and the security anarchy, as the residents of the governorate have become dependent on solar energy and commercial electricity, whose price has reached 1,000 riyals per kilo, which has doubled the suffering of citizens.
