Tihama Organization for Rights condemns crime of rape of 6 girls in Hays

SANAA, June. 18 (YPA) – Tihama Organization for Rights, Development and Human Heritage condemned on Friday the crime of rape of six girls in Hays district, Hodeida province, by gunmen of the US-backed Saudi-Emirati coalition.

The organization considered in a statement the crime incompatible with the values and principles of the Islamic religion, laws, customs and traditions, all customs, tribal ancestors and international covenants.

The statement called on all free people from the tribes of Hodeida, in particular, and the Yemeni tribes in general, to move quickly to stop such crimes and liberate the occupied areas of the abomination of mercenaries.

It called for the United Nations, the Security Council, and international organizations working in the humanitarian and human rights field to quickly take a responsible position regarding these crimes and the previous crimes committed against Yemeni women in the occupied territories and to hold the perpetrators accountable.

The organization stressed the importance of formation of a neutral international committee to investigate the crimes of Saudi-UAE aggression and its tools to seek redress for the victims and not to impunity for the perpetrators.
