Al-Amaliqa forces arrest local officials in Shabwah

SHABWAH, Jun. 17 (YPA) – The UAE-backed “Al-Amaliqa Brigades” militants arrested local officials in Yemen’s southern province of Shabwah for  unknown reasons.

Local sources said that the UAE-backed forces arrested Abdullah Abu Bakr Rahmeh, the director general of media office in Shabwah province and Adel al-Khelaifi,  the secretary general of Ataq local council, as well as many others.

The UAE-backed militias refused to release the detainees and did not disclose the reasons for their arrest, the sources added.
