US: 2 killed, 4 wounded in shooting at nightclub in Gary, Indiana

WORLD, Jun. 13 (YPA) – At least two people were killed and four others injured in a shooting at a nightclub in Gary, Indiana, early Sunday morning, US Police said.

Police explained that the shooting occurred at 2 a.m. at the Playos nightclub in Gary, about 25 miles south of Chicago.

It added that the shooting left two dead, a 34-year-old man and a 26-year-old woman, who were pronounced dead after being taken to a local hospital, ABC News reported.

The attack also left four other injured, including one in critical condition.

Authorities did not disclose the names of the victims or information about the shooter.

The shooting comes amid a wave of gun violence and mass shootings, one of which occurred last weekend near a Tennessee nightclub, leaving 3 dead and 14 injured.
