SANAA, May 31 (YPA) – Oman strongly condemned on Tuesday the “provocative practices made by the Israeli occupation entity to enable its settlers to storm the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque in al-Quds city.
The Omani Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement, expressing the Sultanate of Oman’s denunciation and condemnation of the continuous and illegal provocative acts of the entity and its occupying forces on the Palestinian territories.
The statement stressed that what happened “represents a provocation and inflames the feelings of Muslims and a violation of international law,” calling on the international community to “assume its responsibilities towards the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people.
On Sunday, tens of thousands of settlers participated in the march in al-Quds to celebrate the anniversary of the occupation of the eastern part of the city, according to the Hebrew calendar.
Earlier, hundreds of settlers stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque and performed religious prayers, before confrontations that led to the injury of dozens of Palestinians and the arrest of others.
