OCCUPIED PALESTINE, March 28 (YPA) – The UAE’s Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed said on Monday that the Zionist entity has been part of the region for a long time, stressing that there are “great potentials resulting from agreements with it.”
Bin Zayed added, during a press conference of the foreign ministers of Egypt, the UAE, Bahrain, Morocco, the United States and the Zionist entity, after a six-party meeting in the Negev city: “Hate speech in the region must be challenged… it is time for us to know each other.”
He pointed out that 300,000 Israelis visited the Expo 2020 event in Dubai, “which confirms the importance of strengthening relations”; as he said.
The Emirati minister continued, “We seek to create a different future and build a better hope for our children and their children.”
The Negev summit concluded shortly after its launch, according to the official Israeli Broadcasting Corporation, which stated that the ministers participating in the summit “discussed various issues, foremost of which is the Iranian nuclear threat.”
Meanwhile, Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammad Shtayyeh condemned, on Monday, the “Arab-Israeli normalization meetings,” in a speech he delivered during the opening of the weekly session of the Palestinian government, in the city of Ramallah.
Shtayyeh said, in a statement, that “the Arab normalization meetings without ending the Israeli occupation are nothing but an illusion and a mirage, and a free reward for Israel.”
