SANAA, March 13 (YPA) – A senior Saudi official confirmed Sunday in remarks to the Wall Street Journal that Saudi-led coalition will lose the war in Yemen in one case.
“If the Houthis take control of Marib, we will lose the war,” the Saudi official was quoted as saying on condition of anonymity.
He added that the intensification of airstrikes by coalition aircraft is aimed at harming Yemenis, and then negotiating. In a sign that the coalition is desperate to achieve any victory in Yemen.
The remarks coincides with the readiness of the UN envoy to Yemen, Hans Grundberg, to begin the second phase of bilateral consultations in Amman, Jordan, organized by the United Nations for pro-coalition political factions and representatives of civil society.
