Moscow admits deaths, injuries among its forces in Ukraine

MOSCOW, Feb. 28 (YPA) – The Russian Defense Ministry announced on Sunday evening that its forces incurred dead and wounded in their during the military operation in Ukraine, stressing that the losses are much less than those incurred by the Ukrainian side.

The ministry said in a statement that since the start of the military operation the Russian forces had destroyed 254 tanks and armored vehicles, 31 aircraft, 46 multi-purpose rocket launchers, 103 field guns and mortars on the Ukrainian side.

During the military operation, Russian forces have targeted 1,067 Ukrainian military facilities and infrastructure, the ministry added.

The statement stated that 27 command and communication centers, 38 air defense systems and 56 radar stations on the Ukrainian side have been destroyed since the start of the operation.
