SANAA, Feb. 19 (YPA) – The US State Department announced that “tangible progress” would be made in the Vienna negotiations on returning to the nuclear deal with Iran, within days.
A US State Department spokesman said in a statement to “Agence France-Presse”, on Thursday, that “concrete progress was made last week.”
“If Iran shows its seriousness, we can reach an understanding on a mutual return to full implementation of the agreement within days,” he added.
Earlier, the Russian delegate in Vienna, Mikhail Ulyanov, and the head of the Iranian delegation to the negotiations, Ali Bagheri Kani, confirmed that the parties to the nuclear negotiations have become “closer than ever before” to the agreement.
The 8th round of negotiations is taking place in Vienna on a return to the Iranian nuclear agreement that reached in 2015, under which Iran stopped implementing many of its commitments in response to the withdrawal of the United States from the agreement.
