Deputy FM, UN discuss current developments in Yemen

SANAA, Feb. 14 (YPA) – Deputy Foreign Minister, Hussein Al-Ezzi, met on Monday with the United Nations Resident Representative for Humanitarian Affairs in Yemen, William David Grisley, to discuss the current developments in Yemen.

During the meeting, they also discussed the damage caused by the Saudi-led coalition countries’ targeting of the Public Corporation for International telecommunications and the continuation of the aggressive policy for destroying the Yemeni infrastructure.

The meeting touched on the developments related to Safer floating tank and the joint efforts of the Sanaa Government and the United Nations, aimed at addressing this issue.

The two sides explained the worsening humanitarian crisis as a result of the siege imposed by the coalition countries, which has resulted in the expansion of the humanitarian catastrophe that the Yemeni people are going through, as well as the illegal detention of oil derivatives ships in a flagrant a violation of international humanitarian law.

Meanwhile, the UN official affirmed the commitment of the United Nations to fulfill its responsibilities regarding the serious work to alleviate the human suffering of the Yemeni people and the international organization’s rejection of targeting residential areas and civilian objects.
