Huge fire erupts in Al-Ghaydah city

MAHRA, Feb. 13 (YPA) – A huge fire broke out on Sunday in the center of the city of Al-Ghaydah in Mahra province, east of Yemen.

Local sources in the city stated that the fire in the workshop market due to a short circuit trended to a number of the houses, causing heavy damages to citizens’ properties and merchants.

The sources said that the fire lasted for hours as a result of its arrival at a store of plastic materials, batteries and gas cylinders, which exacerbated the spread of the fire and hampered the firefighting team’s process.
