One civilian killed, 3 injured in explosion of bomb left by coalition in Hodeida

HODEIDA, Feb. 12 (YPA) – A civilian was killed and three others were wounded on Saturday as a result of the explosion of a bomb left by the Saudi-led coalition in Al-Maslab area in Al-Tuhita district in Hodeida province, western Yemen.

This comes less than 24 hours after the 13-year-old boy, Nasser Shawish Nasir Makhda’, was injured by the explosion of a cluster bomb left over from the coalition air raids in Saada province, northern Yemen.

According to an official source in the National Mine Action Program, the child Makhda’ was hit by shrapnel from the cluster bomb blast while grazing sheep in Hidan district, which led to the amputation of one of his fingers.

The source added that the child was wounded by several shrapnel throughout his body.

During the past two days, three shepherds were injured in the same district by shrapnel of the coalition cluster bombs.

The nightmare of the forbidden bombs still hangs over the people of Yemen, which is full of the forbidden coalition bombs that choose their victims from time to time, often children or women.
