Yemeni army repels wide-scale attack in south of Marib

MARIB, Jan. 16 (YPA) – The Yemeni army repelled on Sunday a wide-scale attack of coalition’s forces during battles in south of Marib city, killing several officers and elements, including the commanderMajed Ashalfot, tribal sources told Yemen Press Agency.

The sources said that Sanaa troops foiled the attack and carried out a successful military detour, targeting the mercenaries in Al-Lajma area and surrounding them between Obaida valley and al-Balq mountain.

According to the sources, coalition’s troops inflicted heavy losses in lives and equipment.
