HADHRAMAUT, Jan. 08 (YPA) – Southern activist Salem al-Nahdi said that governor of Hadhramaut province in Hadi’s government, Faraj al-Bahsani’s declaration of a state of emergency was aimed at eliminating sit-ins taking place in the province, in which people demand the rights.
Al-Nahdi said in an interview with al-Mahriya TV that “Al-Bahsani” makes baseless arguments to justify the declared a State of Emergency, which aims to eliminate human rights sit-ins in Hadhramaut, the most recent of which was the sit-in of Al-Ayoun camp called by Sheikh Saleh bin Hariz al-Marri.
It is noteworthy mentioning that the media had revealed that the declaration of a state of emergency came after a phone call from Ali Mohsen al-Ahmar, aimed at aborting popular movements.
