Hadramout tribes complete imposing siege on Islah camps

HDARAMOUT, Dec. 18 (YPA) – A number of Hadramout tribes have completed their gunmen to impose siege on a military camps belonging to the Saudi-backed Islah Party forces in Wadi Hadramout, east of Yemen.

Local sources affirmed that this escalation came in parallel with the storming of armed men loyal to the UAE, led by Sheikh Awad Al-Wazir Al-Awlaki, the city of Ataq, the center of Shabwa province.

Abu Dhabi continued to tend the end of the state of power-sharing between Islah and the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) militias, in the two provinces.

The tribes, which accuse the “Saudi-backed exiled Hadi government of corruption and of Islah’s participation in the looting of the province’s wealth, deployed hundreds of their gunmen in the areas of the province.

The sources explained that tribes urged the importance of preventing the passage of tankers coming from the Masila oil facility in Wadi Hadramout.

These steps came after the “Hadramout bloc” and tribes” held a meeting in Haru area in November, demanding handing over the leadership of the first and second military regions of the Ministry of Defense of the “Hadi government to the “Hadrami Elite” militia funded by the UAE, and activating Hadi’s decision to recruit 3,000 men from Hadramout.

However, the government of Hadi ignored that threats and demands, which prompted the tribes to escalate again.
