Iran announces development of cruise missiles with 2,000 km range
TEHRAN, Oct. 16 (YPA) – Commander-in-Chief of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards, Major General Hussein Salami, announced on Saturday that the Guards have developed naval missiles that can hit targets with a range of 2,000 kilometers.
Salami said that the Revolutionary Guard has made great progress in manufacturing fast boats with a speed of 100 knots and drones of various types; reconnaissance, combat, and suicide, with a range of up to 1200 kilometers.”
“We are working on adding this number and developing equipment,” he added.
Concerning naval missiles, Salami stated that the Revolutionary Guard had started with a range not exceeding 35 kilometers, and now they are developing missiles that can hit moving targets at a distance of 2,000 kilometers.
