SANAA, Oct. 06 (YPA) – The Supreme Council for Management and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs and International Cooperation condemned the murder of the Yemeni doctor, working with MSF by gunmen in Lahj province, which is under the control of Saudi-led coalition forces.
In a statement, the Council stressed that the crime against the MSF staff member was neither the first nor the last in areas, which are under the control of the coalition forces. These areas are rife with chaos, murders and assassinations on an almost daily basis.
The Council condemned the silence of the United Nations on the serious killings and violations of international humanitarian law and human rights in the occupied territories.
The statement called on the United Nations and international organizations to take humanitarian and moral responsibility for what going on, open Sanaa airport, lift the blockade and stop the aggression.
The Council called for a transparent investigation into the killing of a humanitarian MS staff member, all reports of violations in order to hold perpetrators accountable.
