OCCUPIED QUDS, Oct. 03 (YPA) – EgyptAir started Sunday operating an official flight to occupied Palestine for the first time, as the company’s first plane is scheduled to land in Tel Aviv this afternoon.
This came in light of a remarkable development in Egyptian-Israeli relations that culminated in a meeting last September between Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi.
Sources in the Egyptian national air carrier stated, in the same month, that EgyptAir will start, as of October, to operate several flights per week between Cairo and Tel Aviv.
Bennett, the head of a right-wing party that took power last June, received an invitation to visit Cairo from al-Sisi last August.
