Several Islah militants killed in Shabwa infighting

SHABWA, Aug. 29 (YPA) – Several militants were killed and wounded on Sunday in infighting broke out among the Saudi-backed Islah factions in Shabwa province, sources said.

The official affirmed that the clashes erupted Informed between the armed forces of the “Special Forces” led by Abed Rabbo LaKaab, and other gunmen on board crews of the “Police forces” in al-Nasab area.

A Somali refugee also was killed, and a military vehicle was destroyed during the clashes.

The sources pointed out that the Saudi forces stationed at Ataq Airport intervened to stop the confrontations between Islah factions.

This came as the Emirati forces are prepared to support the “Shabwani Elite militia to invade Shabwa, which has been controlled by Islah militants since August 2019.
