MAHRAH, Aug. 12 (YPA) – Peaceful sit-in protest committee in Mahrah has on Thursday held a meeting to discuss escalatory steps to counter plans targeting the province.
During the meeting, which was attended by Sultan Mohammed Abdullah al-Afrar, chairman of the General Council of sons of Mahrah and Socotra provinces, and Sheikh Issa bin Yagout
The Committee approved that meetings with all other Mahrah components will continue to participate in the defence of the province in the face of external ambitions and foreign occupation forces .
Sheikh Ali Salem al-Harizi, chairman of the sit-in committee, urged all Mahrah people to be more steadfast, patient and prepared in all possibilities, meet challenges and thwart plans that target the province.
He called on the British government, parliament and the British people to immediately withdraw their troops from the province
Sheikh Al-Harizi stressed that the sons of Mahrah will have a position on these forces, holding them fully responsible for any developments that may occur in the province.
Sheikh Al-Harisi called on the international community and human rights organizations to stand up to these violations and actions such as bringing these occupying forces to the province under flimsy justifications .
