ADEN, Aug. 13 (YPA) – For the third day in a row, the fate of community activist Nedhar al-Abdali has remained unknown since he was abducted from inside his home in the southern port city of Aden.
Sources close to the family of al-Abdali confirmed that his family doesn’t know about Nedhar’s situation from the moment he was kidnapped by the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) militias during a raid on his home in al-Mamdara neighborhood of Sheikh Othman district.
The sources indicated that masked gunmen broke into the house of the activist al-Abdali and took him to an unknown destination.
The family could not communicate with him because his phone closed, for 48 hours.
The sources said al-Abdali’s family did not know who raided the house and kidnapped her son, or why he was arrested.
Community activist Nedhar al-Abdali was known for his criticisms of the deteriorating security, living and service conditions of citizens in Aden.
