HADRAMOUT, Aug. 07 (YPA) – Several activists accused on Saturday a firm of the Saudi-backed Islah Party of being behind the death of thousands of shrimps in Hadramout province’s coasts.
Large quantities of the dead fish covered large areas of the coast of the province, located on the Arabian Sea, east of Yemen.
Fishermen of the province’s sons considered that the death of the shrimp fish was a deliberate for destroying the marine environment in the Arabian Sea and the southern governorates.
The fishermen suggested the phenomenon of shrimp death came due to environmental pollution, accusing the Islah-run Yemeni Company for Fish and Marine Life of being behind the pollution process.
