2 citizens killed by thunderbolt in Hajjah

HAJJAH, Aug. 03 (YPA) – Two citizens died on Monday as a result of a thunderbolt that struck a farm in Dahai village in Al-Jumaymah District in Hajjah province, a local source said.

Secretary-general of the district local council, Abdulrahman Al-Muhammadi, was quoted by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) as saying that Ali Hizam Musaad Hassan and his son Ahsan died after a lightning strike hit a guarding place of a farm they were inside, at five o’clock this evening.”

Al-Muhammadi called on citizens to abide by the instructions related to avoiding thunderbolts, which include turning off electrical appliances and mobile phones in order to preserve their lives.
