SANAA, Jun. 19 (YPA) – The Islah party pushed new military reinforcements on Saturday to the coastal city of Shaqra in the Abyan province, in southern Yemen.
Local sources in the province stated that a number of military vehicles and armored vehicles belonging to Islah militants crossed Al-Mashabak area and Al-Wadaa junction in Khobar Al-Maraqsha towards Shaqra camps.
The sources indicated that the military reinforcements of Islah to the contact lines with the UAE-funded “Southern Transitional” militia, on the Abyan front, are a new attempt to reignite the conflict in the region.
The sources pointed out that the Islah military leaders are seeking to sabotage the “Riyadh Agreement 3” negotiations between the “Transitional Council” and the “Hadi government.”
The “Southern Transitional” had announced, on Friday, the suspension of its participation in the consultations to implement the “Riyadh Agreement”, as a result of the kidnapping of the head of the council’s branch in Hadramout and his deputy for the affairs of the university’s coordinator and a number of the council’s leaders in the province, by Al-Islah gunmen in Al-Khabibiya area of Bir Ali, Shabwa province and take them to an unknown destination.
